When I study succulents, I repeatedly get this message: Be patient. Go within. Wait. Succulents hold water when water is not available. They demand little and yet maintain their form and beauty. My practice (at the canvas and the cushion) helps me to find a way to be still when everything is spinning. From the practice of showing up despite sometimes inner, sometimes outer chaos, this sweet painting emerged.
