When I study succulents, I repeatedly get this message: Be patient. Go within. Wait. Succulents hold water when water is not available. They demand little and yet maintain their form and beauty. My practice (at the canvas and the meditation cushion) helps me to find a way to be still when everything is spinning. From the practice of showing up despite sometimes inner, sometimes outer chaos, this wondrous painting emerged.
