Re-seeing the beauty of valleys in life.

If I fully understood how my inner landscape is formed without my control, just like the clouds, just like the mountains, I could observe my inner landscape and know that I neither caused its beauty nor its darkness. I could sit in wonder and awe, with gentleness and respect for the storms, with gratitude for the sun shining. What if I could remember this about your inner landscape as well?

The clouds did not ask to rise. The valley didn't fail. The clouds rise. The valley carves deep. This is life. Sometimes heartbreaking, sometimes awe-inspiring. Always changing. Sometimes quickly like the clouds, sometimes slowly like the mountains.

And if we are still enough, and awake enough to see, we'll notice light touches the top of the clouds and the valley as well. 🙏
