Creekside is one of the places I go to remember that the movement of life is neither a threat nor a comfort but a reality. With the gentle wind causing the leaves to dance and light to flicker, with the constant and changing babble of the water, I rest into the flow of life. The creek reminds me to loosen my grip, just a bit, just enough to let peace flow in. This painting reminds me of this message from the moving water that ‘this too shall pass’ and I can neither stop nor advance time so perhaps, for a moment, I might breathe into it and be fully here, now.
