Belonging Everywhere
Belonging Everywhere
Out beyond words I sit by the waters edge and feel a peace in my cells. This peace felt distant just a few miles away when I shuffle and hustle in the busyness of life, aspirations and fears.
Eleven years ago my husband and I moved our family with my parents to our current home. At that time there was an old train track down the road. Unbeknownst to us it would become a rails to trail that we visit daily in the Pennypack nature preserve. Now I can’t imagine living anywhere else.
I find myself along this stream and in these woods daily. The beauty sustains me in a way words cannot. The forest quenches the ache of loss, the questions of purpose the doubts of belonging.
