Peace is This Moment
Peace is This Moment
I could sit by this fabulous yellow peony study for hours and feel both expansion and peace. I am lost in the unexpected folds, changes of color and delightful reminder of this most beloved garden friend.
This one I call "Peace is this Moment" inspired by Dorothy Hunt's Poem:
Do you think peace requires an end to war?
Or tigers eating only vegetables?
Does peace require an absence from your boss, your spouse, yourself?...
Do you think peace will come some other place than here?
Some other time than Now?In some other heart than yours?
Peace is this moment without judgment.
That is all.
This moment in the Heart-space
where everything that is is welcome.
Peace is this moment without thinking
that it should be some other way,
that you should feel some other thing,
that your life should unfold according to your plans.
Peace is this moment without judgment,
this moment in the Heart-space where
everything that is is welcome.

I am grateful for Dorothy Hunt for this poem filled with weaving of imagery, invitation to acceptance, and the call to surrender and find the peace in it all (as it is).
Note: I have had a lot of inquiries on these yellow peonies and I intend to create more--please feel free to message me about a custom piece at the size that would work for your space--if you are interested.
