"Grant your heart all the space it asks." Jan Frazier

This single, enormous, sunflower is filled with movement and spaciousness. I am reminded of the lessons of the sunflower, to turn to the light. As I painted I made a simple barely legible note in my sketchbook, "Turn to the light, friend. The light is calling you." Such sweet, kind messages that come to me in the studio when I give my own heart all the space it needs.
