Beyond My Wildest Dreams
Beyond My Wildest Dreams
Oh my! This enormous piece is a like walking into a green house of gorgeousness. Twelve peonies of magical, whimsical colors burst onto the scene for a big WOW moment.
This is my 700th painting and my first piece of 2024 painting. I painted this piece with a heart centered in my purpose as a creator. My intention was to be as extraordinarily kind as possible with myself.
To be as extraordinarily kind as possible with new levels of awareness.
To be as extraordinarily kind as possible with these delicate flowers
To be in awe of the exquisite beauty of these flowers, this moment, this life.
My focus has always been on practicing kindness while painting.
And in the studio I decided to play outside the lines, to follow the inspiration of highlight and shadow and to let go of the color story (original source photo was yellow peonies).
It is a potent question for one’s life, What is beyond your wildest dreams? What if you dropped some of the limitations? What if you let go of your original plan? What if you stepped into limitless beauty.
“Life is hard, filled with loss and suffering.
Life is glorious, stunning, incomparable.
To deny either truth is to live in some fantasy of the ideal or to be crushed by the weight of pain.
Instead both are true and it requires a familiarity with both sorrow and joy to fully encompass the full range of being human.” Francis Weller
132” x 48” (This piece is a triptych—three canvases—I recommend two inches between canvases, for a full display width of 136” x 48”)
